Set of 6 Vintage Multicolour Sugar-Frosted Gold-Rim Cocktail Glasses, c. 1950s–60s
A charming set of six vintage mid-century shot glasses, each finished in a different jewel-like pastel colour with a distinctive textured granité surface and gold detailing.
The set includes pink, orange, yellow, green, blue and pale ice-blue/white, creating a playful rainbow palette while maintaining a refined, cohesive look. The lower portion of each glass has a finely textured, almost sugar-frosted finish, contrasted by clear glass above.
Each glass is finished with horizontal gold bands and a gilt rim, adding a more formal note to the otherwise exuberant colour palette. The gently waisted silhouette gives the glasses a particularly characteristic 1950s–60s profile.
Designed for small cocktails, aperitifs, digestifs or spirits, the complete six-colour set also displays beautifully on a bar cart or open shelving.
Similar granité glassware was produced in France and continental Europe during the 1950s and 1960s, often as colourful entertaining sets. The maker of this particular set is unidentified.
